we ordered some appetizers,SWEETBREADS was sensational. The mini burgers, and a duck appetizer were just as great. My group ordered a variety of steaks and some veal dish.I think my steak was the delmonico. they have a great dessert selection. I opted for their souffle. All of us were really impressed.

My god, I cant praise them enough! ok, (getting a diamond bracelet made it more special) but.......The food was to die for! I had the spencer steak dave had veal chops, dessert was the fondue for both ofus. The place reminds me of Italy, its energy and perfection in service was more than i expected. We sat upstairs. I only wish they had an elevator simply because of my condition(having a baby)

What is this rage over sweetbreads? btw, What is sweetbread?

Reply #16 submitted by: chana on Feb 23rd 2009
Hi,
Sweetbreads is a delicacy,it's cow brains.

Reply #17 submitted by: Alan on Feb 24th 2009
Sweetbreads are generally from the thymus glands of a cow.

Reply #18 submitted by: Robbie on Feb 25th 2009
Who would eat sweetbreads knowing that it is brains or whatever glands? All I want is the Reserve steak or the Delmonico! Thats supposed to be their prize steaks.

Reply #19 submitted by: Anonymous on Mar 6th 2009
had the reserve steak....if you like steak GET IT!!...along with a nice bottle of wine that they offer..just about all their steaks they have are very good...service upstairs was just as good (never sat downstairs)...this place is a good one..

Ditto for us. We go out of our way to go there when we fly down to Fl. If we land in Ft Lauderdale, head down to North Miami Beach to this restaurant. The food is made to order, lots of salads, gratis, and the price is reasonable. Would recommend highly

Colbeh Manhattan
Submitted by: Susan NYC on Jan 20th 2009
The prices listed on line are 20-25% lower than the menu prices for appetizers, entrees, even desserts. Then there is an automatic 18% gratuity tacked on. All of this makes Colbeh a dramatically OVERPRICED eatery, even among kosher establishments. Everyone in our party felt RIPPED OFF!

**As previously reported and for all those that still don't know, LEVANA Restaurant is closed until mid-April as the 30-year-old pioneer of kosher gourmet dining undergoes an extensive renovation.

While the renovation is underway, LEVANA will continue to offer their full off-premise dining and catering services. LEVANA delivers hundreds of meals weekly, with a range of packaging and plating choices, to some of New York's best restaurants and prestigious locations to provide kosher guests with elegant and delicious meals wherever they are.

LEVANA's managing partner, Sol Kirschenbaum, said much will be revised and looks forward to welcoming LEVANA's loyal clientele into the new exciting space.

We have been Patough customers for so many years,(Ali's & Jamsheed Alimoorad's times) then we stopped as service & quality dropped. Came back last year to check it out & wow..service, food quality & the most importantly the music have been improved. We love Pershang & try to make it every month, as long as Pershang is there.

I had dinner with my family and the food was incredible, fresh and large portions. I have never tasted such delicious Veal and chicken in my life. The appetizers are out of this world, especially the Eggplant dip with tomato's and onions. The wait staff was very helpful and polite. I recommend this restaurant to all who love fantastic food and very affordable prices

Celebrated my 40th surprise birthday party at Piyaz. The atmosphere, service and food was amazing. The guests were greatly thankful that my wife introduced them to this great restaurant.
I was pleasantly surprised at the total cost of my party. The attention to the minor details taken care of by the owners made it an unforgettable evening. Highly recommended to all!!!!

Submitted by: Mehran & Susan on Jan 13th 2009
The only good thing they had going was the live band they had there (which is now changed to some Karaoke singer. False advertising when we called and they told us "Live Music". How do you call some dude and a computer live?)
The Kebab was absolutely overcooked although I asked for a medium rare Barg. Are they trying to hide the quality of the meat by cooking it well done??

Bring back the live band and improve the quality of the meat you purchase, Patoug. It's not like you aren't charging for it!!
