Cool Fish
Submitted by: Gary and Lise Hoy on Oct 13th 2008
After moving from Port Jefferson, 18 years ago, we returned for a family wedding. We spent the day in Port Jefferson remembering all the cool things we did with our children back then. Vanessa at the Fairfield Inn reommended "Cool Fish" for dinner. We so enjoyed the ambience and the wonderful stuffed fluke. Wish I had the recipe to make at home. Thank you--Lise and Gary

Riodizio Churrascaria has a lunch package that would include dessert and coffee as well as beer, wine and soft drinks. Its just a little over your price range but well worth it! You can also opt for just the lunch and order a few bottles of wine additional.

Flowerfield
Submitted by: Publishers on Sep 3rd 2008
On August 24th, our son got married at Flowerfield in St. James. This was one of the most enjoyable times we’ve ever had, and I
know all of our guests feel the same. Everyone kept telling us how beautiful the place is, how delicious the food is, how excellent the service is, and on and on all day long.

We have dined in most of Long Island’s top restaurants, and we’ve been to many catering places, however our experience at Flowerfield was the best. We were very impressed with the bright, magnificent bridal suite and expansive groom’s suite you provided. The bride and groom loved the grounds and getting married outside was very special for them. The rooms inside are beautiful especially the ballroom set up with the strikingly exquisite floral centerpieces (designed by Lovin’ Oven Floral Designs).

Flowerfield has a unique character and splendor which is hard to find, with magnificent grounds, a lake and fountain complete with swans. Inside, the spacious cocktail room with so many live exotic plants, a fish pond with a bridge and many cocktail tables made for a very comfortable start to the reception. Meaghan Sinisi, from the day we booked Flowerfield, was so very helpful and cooperative and made planning the occasion easy. Maitre d’ Andy Musacchio paid careful attention to every detail and managed to exceed all of our expectations, and Joette Behrmann attended to the bride’s every need. They were always there when we needed them.

We were floored! Blown away! It was awesome! Thanks to your staff, this was truly an incredible day which we will always remember. My compliments and congratulations to your entire staff. You have a high level of quality and professionalism. Thank you again for making Andrew and Rebeca’s wedding a truly extraordinary celebration. Everyone had a wonderful time. We are proud to have Flowerfield included in Great Restaurants Of Long Island.
