Sam's Place is a quaint Italian restaurant that serves incredibly fresh Northern and Southern Italian food in the Murray Hill section of the East Side. For the last 16 years, the cozy atmosphere places diners in close quarters, where they receive the warm charm of owner Massimo Biber, the former host of Tre Scalini on 58th street. Elegant oil paintings hang on the white walls, and fresh flowers adorn white table clothes, which brings a romantic feel to the establishment.
All of the food at Sam's place is made fresh on the premises. Mussels or Clams Posillipo - steamed in their own broth and marinara sauce – has remained an ever-popular way to start the meal. Jumbo Shrimp Francese and Shrimp Scampi, prepared traditionally with white wine lemon and butter sauce are worth savoring throughout your meal. Chicken Giardiniera - topped with in season vegetables and cream – allows patrons to witness how fresh the food really is.
