When guests enter the warm ambience of the Croton Reservoir Tavern, they feel as if they have been transported to 19th century America. The Tavern was named in honor of the Croton Reservoir, one of Manhattan’s forgotten landmarks. Once the city’s main water source, the basin was filled in to lay the foundation for the New York Public Library and Bryant Park, which lie adjacent to the eatery. Exposed brick, wrought iron railings, stained glass, and glowing candlelight await you behind plush velvet curtains, whisking you back to vintage New York.

The cosmopolitan American cuisine, prepared by Chef Aaron Block, one of New York’s finest and critically acclaimed chefs, is perfect for lunch or dinner. “Nori Seared Rare Tuna”, prepared with Garlic-miso citrus sauce and wasabi vinaigrette with shiitake mushroom chopsticks, and “Makers Mark Drunken Pork Chop”, with onion straws, and sweet potato gratin in a creole mustard sauce are two of the Chef’s popular signature dishes. New York’s best service staff will make you feel at home while the skilled bartenders pour you only the best of any drink you desire, including the original CR Tini. 26 wines are available by the glass as well.

The Croton Reservoir Tavern features two beautifully designed floors each with its own full size oak bar, brass studded leather chairs, granite tabletops, and plenty of room for socializing and dancing. The downstairs lounge also features a DJ booth, ideal for your choice of music. The restaurant is the perfect place to book large private parties and corporate events year-round.

Come try a taste of vintage New York at the Croton Reservoir Tavern. Whether it be for happy hour, an intimate dinner, or a night of music and dancing, the restaurant truly has something for every patron.
