The instant you walk into Italianissimo Restaurant, you are overcome with a feeling of romance. When you arrive, Gulio, your host for the evening, will sit you at a table adorned with gorgeous fresh flowers that evoke a certain elegance and charm. Edgar, the Maitre’D, will present to you the nightly specials that Chef Luigi Campoverde (who is no stranger to the Upper East Side, with stints at Il Nido, Il Monello, and Portofino Grill) is about to prepare in the kitchen.

The three owners contribute their talents each evening and create a truly complete dining experience. The menu is a sampling of all the tastes of Italy, as the Chef creates astonishing dishes, including Pollo Cardinale - boneless chicken with roasted peppers, mozzarella and olives. Homemade Penne Bosco e Mare, made with asparagus, shrimp, and pest sauce is perfect for pasta lovers looking for something new and exciting.

Be sure to save room for dessert. With such homemade offerings as the house special Zabaglione Italianissimo, Tiramirsu, cheesecake, and a selection ice creams and sorbets, it pays to save room.

The extensive wine list features selections from all over the world (and incorporates many fine domestic labels), and there is a full bar with an impressive selection of Grappas for which to finish off your evening.

Whether you come in for an early dinner, or arrive late in the evening for a lighter meal, Italianissimo Restaurant pleases every customer that walks in the door.
