							| Metsovo features the "heartland cuisine" from the mountains of Greece. Named for a town known as "The Little Switzerland", Metsovo’s décor, a relaxing warm room, includes high ceilings, supporting chandeliers with genuine candles, a wood burning fireplace, and imported stone and artifacts from Greece.
The food is not only unique for New York City, it is beautifully prepared and utterly as delicious and as authentic as many of the lauded Greek restaurants of Astoria – and all for a very reasonable price! Various combinations of the hot and cold “mezedes,” (Greek appetizers that range from spreads to perfectly grilled seafood and stuffed vegetables.) are a must. Ask the knowledgeable and helpful wait staff for their personal favorites, and they will guide you through the maze. Don’t miss “saganaki,” - walnut fried kasseri cheese with apples and sage, flamed in ouzo. Desserts are sweet, homemade and a real pleasure – be sure to taste the tempting baklava.

The short, inexpensive wine list shows care, featuring some terrific Greek selections. A Greek wine-cave-lounge is downstairs.

Perfect for a large group of friends, or an intimate date, Metsovo restaurant is a sure winner for anyone looking to gain a new experience on the Upper West Side.
