Eli Zabar's Taste Restaurant & Wine Bar, a flavor-driven, international-style restaurant with a hint of Southern homestyle cuisine, focuses on hand selected, affordable wines from distinctive wine regions. Available at the bar is a menu of “small plates”, which Executive Chef Scott Bieber has paired with wine selections. Along with this is a full menu featuring Bieber's well loved flavor-driven dishes that take advantage of the pristine seasonal produce for which Eli's market is known. Taste, open daily from 6 pm, has an inviting 30 foot bar and dining room that serves a bar and dinner menu.
The wine list features over 60 wine selections of hand selected, affordable wines from around the globe. Wines by-the-glass are offered on a rotating basis.
The cozy and inviting private party room can comfortably accommodate up to 50 people. Prior to Taste's transformation into a candlelit restaurant, between 7am and 4pm weekdays it is a self-service cafeteria offering coffee, pastries, soup, sandwiches and New York's best salad bar - a neighborhood meeting spot for moms with carriages, singles with laptops, and ladies-who-lunch.
