Chef Ho's Peking Duck Grill has been pleasing it's customers for 13 years. Simple roses at each table accent a stark white room with wood paneling. A large fish tank set into the wall in the back corner and a large picture window up front add to the relaxing family dining experience.
Chef Ho honed his skills at such renowned eateries as Uncle Tai's, David K's and Fortune Garden, and has subsequently earned a 3 1/2 star rating from New York Magazine. This is most evident in the house special - the Peking Duck - which guests say is the best in all of New York City. Each duck is delicately prepared by inflating the duck with air, treating it with honey on the skin, and roasting it to perfection. Traditional accompaniments - scallions, cucumber and pancakes round out the dish. The duck is available in both half and whole portions. Ho's Beef, another standout, is marinated and pan seared to perfection with diced orange peels and flecked with garlic and ginger. Sea Dragon - crisp whole sea bass smothered with a vegetarian spicy sauce - is a must try for any fish fan. Wines from Italy, France and California make a welcome appearance on the menu.
The Zagat Restaurant Survey declares that Chef Ho's Peking Duck Grill is "one notch above the rest." See for yourself why out-of-towners beg the owners to move the restaurant closer to their city! TAKE OUT; OFF PREMISE CATERING
