MIX in New York is the latest collaboration between the culinary world’s most renowned chef Alain Ducasse with dynamic restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow of the China Grill Management.
The cuisine is a mix of American and French “classics” reinterpreted, and also includes dishes inspired by Ducasse’s world travels. Damon Gordon, the talented Chef de cuisine, masterizes dishes such as “Spring Vegetable vichyssoise, fresh herb floating island”, “Roasted Duck Breast à l’orange, caramelized Belgian endives”, “New Lobster Newburg”, “Farm-raised Pork en cocotte, bitter greens, BBQ sauce, corn bread”, “Elbow Pasta, ham, butter and truffle juice”
France-based Patrick Jouin is the designer for Mix in New York. The restaurant has a striking assimilation of past New York rawness and contemporary French seductiveness is found in the dining room where rose-colored glass panels are suspended along the brick walls and hover over the original ceiling design.
