Famous for great steaks and chops since 1926, this two-story former townhouse of legendary stage and screen actor John Drew Barrymore is the site of the newest Frankie & Johnnie’s Steak House, which carries the same great steaks and chops that the original steak house was made famous for. The modern amenities include elegant wood floors and bars, a new state of the art kitchen, and an elegant wine vault in the heart of the main dining room. Proprietor Van Panopoulos greets guests at the door each night.
The menu at Frankie & Johnnie’s includes the quintessential fare of steaks, chops, and seafood, all distinguished by the exceptional quality of the USDA certified prime dry-aged beef and their exotic blend of spices.
The main dining room, located on the second floor, features the Barrymore Room, formerly the actor's study, which took on the name of it’s original owner. Complete with the original fireplace, dark wood walls and a stained glass ceiling, the room serves as an ideal place for private functions. 20 to 75 guests can comfortably enjoy this historic local.
The cozy and elegant bar is extremely popular with the after work crowd. A tempting drink menu, with both bottled and draft beers accompanies a wide selection of award winning wines. Shortly after opening, this location was granted the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 2003, as well as accolades from Time Out New York and the Zagat Survey.
With two locations in New York City, along with locations in Hoboken and Rye, all four Frankie & Johnnie’s Steak Houses have the common bond of exceptional service, fabulous food and historic tradition. PRIVATE PARTIES; HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE
