Emporium Brasil, founded as a Brazilian market and newsstand a decade ago, has evolved into a dining destination on a stretch of West 46th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues which was officially named "Little Brazil Street" by the city in 1995. Emporium Brasil upholds its country's multi-ethnic culinary traditions with a menu created by manager Regina Silva and executed by chef Samira Suarez. "There's a taste of history in every bite of Brazil's cuisine", says Ms. Silva. Fresh Brazilian ingredients and authentic cooking methods are the hallmark of menus which combine tradition with a twist of the new. Emporium Brazil boasts a loyal lunch crowd, many of whom come for the homeland "salgadinhos" - or savory pastry - such as pasteis (empanadas of beef, heart of palm or cheese), "coxinhas de frango" (chicken balls); risolis de camarao (shrimp empanadas); "empadas de frango ou camarão" (pies of chicken or shrimp); bolinhos de bacalhau (codfish fritters); "pão de queijo" (cheese bread); "bolinho de batata com queijo" (potato roll with cheese); and "kibe" (a ground beef croquette). Attention to detail is the key to the 10 years of success that Emporium Brazil has experienced. There is always a sense of freshness with every dish served.
Emporium Brazil's full bar features traditional and original cocktails using "Cachaça", a Brazilian rum made from sugar cane juice.
Emporium Brasil is definitely an unforgettable place to eat, drink the delicious Brazilian Caipirinha, and enjoy an evening with friends and family. PRIVATE PARTIES; OFF-PREMISE CATERING; PRE-THEATER MENU; HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE; OUTDOOR DINING
