Il Valentino, an elegant Northern Italian restaurant, is just off the lobby of the tony Sutton apartment complex. Exquisite antique woodwork surrounds the intimate stone-tiled bar and dining room. Terra-cotta tiles flow throughout the eatery, lending to the classic Italian feel. Once you enter the large dining area, the vibrantly colored antipasti spread catches your attention. On any given night, there can be 10-15 different dishes on display calling out your name. It's the restaurant's unique style of food presentation that allows it to stand above many of the rest.
Il Valentino has a staff of professionals who anticipate requirements and provide service and assistance with unfaltering attention to detail. On many nights, this quiet, relaxed scene features live jazz from greats like Sal D'yaged, a member of the great Benny Goodman's troop.
Nightly specials add to the already impressive menu. Branzino, roasted in rosemary, lemon, and served with spinach is just one of the exciting extras you may find on any given night. The Osso Bucco, and the Porcini Mushroom Risotto with Truffle Oil are not to be missed. The wine list is made up of about 80 selections from around the globe.
The Zagat Survey says that the food is "consistent" and "delicious", and presented with "outstanding service." With one visit to Il Valentino, you'll be sure to agree. PRIVATE PARTIES; PRIVATE ROOM; ON & OFF PREMISE CATERING; TAKE OUT; HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE
