Moca Asian Bistro is the restaurant that  “wows” you.  It has an edge over the others...it really stands out.  From the moment you enter you are amazed by the gorgeous decor.  It’s NYC modern with backlit stained glass in the bar and reception area, colored light shelves displaying premium sake bottles, greenery, booths, dimly lit contemporary light fixtures, and accents of fabric, wood and stone.  Tinted glass windows separate the kitchen from the sleek dining room.

The menu is quite extensive with cooked selections from the kitchen and raw selections from the sushi bar.  Moca stands for Modern Culinary Art and here, the highly skilled chefs combine the traditions and ingredients of Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisines with modern concepts.  Our first course included mini vegetable spring rolls presented in a margarita glass, and rock shrimp tempura with spicy mayo.  Entrees were just as fresh and delicious.  We savored every bite of Peking duck with its crispy bronze skin and moist meat wrapped in rice pancakes, and salmon carpaccio, delicately prepared in a light citrus sauce.  A large display of kumamoto oysters sat atop crushed ice and were the best we ever had.  Oreo tempura with green tea and red bean ice cream was a sweet way to end such a special dinner.
