Feel like you’re on vacation on one of the Greek islands while sipping a cocktail or dining on the new teak wood patio at Kyma. “We want to transport you to a different place, a sun-drenched seaside resort town.”
Greek for wave, Kyma specializes in the freshest fish and seafood. Some varieties are flown in everyday from the Mediterranean. They also use the highest quality extra virgin olive oil from Crete in their preparations. Recipes are traditional executed with a contemporary flair. Executive Chef Chris Kletsides created an “Island Greek” menu with whole fish as the highlight. Desserts include fresh Greek yogurt with fresh thyme, honey and black cherry preserve; traditional baklava; and homemade ice creams and sorbets.
Operating partners Reno Christou and Yiannis Chatiris have years of experience managing restaurants. They designed this restaurant to evoke a sense of the Mediterranean with white-washed wood floors and ceilings and all-white walls with European stucco. Banquette seating is at long white wooden tables and chairs are lined with white canvas cushions. An oval bar separates the dining room from the lounge area, which features additional banquettes, low tables, a DJ booth and three televisions.
