Verona Ristorante’s owner, Gary Multani, has been in the restaurant business since childhood and brings with him a true passion, extensive knowledge, experience, and pays attention to every detail. Gary considers his customers to be part of his family, and these efforts have resulted in subtle changes and refinements that Verona’s loyal clientele appreciate very much.
Subdued lighting, fresh flowers and candlelight on each table create a romantic glow. Graceful draperies, tapestries and framed art decorate the three dining rooms: the bi-level dining room has a handsome wood bar and large round tables for family dinners; the center room follows the same comfortable decor; and a private party room with a contemporary fireplace and oversized windows is available for parties all kinds and business dinners.
The menu is made up of regional Italian dishes and numerous daily specials. Their signature, tender grilled octopus was declared “terrific” by The New York Times and the best they ever tasted. House specialties include branzino, tripe marinara, ravioli, and housemade desserts like Italian and American cheesecake, creme brulee, flourless chocolate cake, and key lime pie. Excellent service is provided by a caring and professional waitstaff.
Gary is a wine connoisseur and upgraded the carefully chosen wine list adding many more varieties and some hard to find boutique labels, both domestic and international. Martinis, creative cocktails, alcoholic and non-alcoholic frozen drinks are also popular at Verona.
The New York Times writes, “Verona is why Long Islanders love Italian restaurants. The place exudes warmth and generosity.” Gary is a friendly and gracious host and invites you to dine at the new Verona or celebrate your next special occasion there and you will become a regular and part of the Verona family.
