Palmer’s American Grille pays homage to historical Farmingdale by naming the Powell and Lenox Rooms after two well known founding members of Farmingdale Village. Vintage photos portraying Farmingdale’s history are displayed in addition to golfing photos since they are
located by the famous Bethpage Golf Course. The elegant décor of beige, brown and burgundy includes comfortable high back banquettes, leaded glass chandeliers with soft billowing fabrics, brick treatments, fireplaces and romantic candlelight. The Spirit Room boasts beautiful hand carved figureheads, classic wine display and rich mahogany woods, where you can have a specialty cocktail and choose from the many beers and wines. It’s vibrant and exciting filled with people listening to soft jazz, popular music, and live music on the weekends.

Chef John Catalanotto trained at a prestigious culinary school in Paris and then CIA. Quality ingredients are fresh from the market and house specialties are Beef Wellington, Rack of Lamb, and Certified Angus Prime Aged Steaks. Our delicious appetizers included their signature crab cakes; and zucchini linguine, both large portions. Entres were also delicious: tender, flavorful chicken piccata; and New York sirloin strip steak, perfectly charred, medium rare, as ordered. House made desserts are not to be missed like their tiramisu. Warm and inviting, Palmer’s is a great place to celebrate your next occasion with a party in their private room. The staff will help you plan a custom menu.
Owners Jerry Rossi, Bob Gebbia and Ron LaBarbera are constantly circulating the dining rooms ensuring everyone is having a good time and enjoying their meal. The caring waitstaff is eager to please, they know their customers in this unpretentious restaurant where outdoor dining and live music are added bonuses.
