A Lure, a chowder house & oysteria is the brain child of partners Tom Schaudel and Adam Lovett. Tom, a well respected chef, restaurateur and author, together with Adam, a restaurateur and sommelier, set a goal to serve impeccably fresh fish and seafood in a casual setting. Locals, boaters, day-trippers and vacationers on the idyllic north shore of Long Island wine country flock here to enjoy the simply prepared catch of the day and creative house favorites. This is the place for seafood on the water!

Decorated in beach cool blue and white, the bright dining room has a wall of windows looking out onto the sparkling tranquil waters of Peconic Bay, and dining on the patio right on the waterfront is like a relaxing vacation. Original oil paintings by local artist Max Moran, add unique charm, a double-sided fireplace keeps you warm in the winter and a large granite bar is the perfect place to sip a chilled cocktail and meet friends. Tom says, “you have the highway and water within 100 yards of each other. Easy on easy off whether you come by car or boat.”

Chef de Cuisine and co-owner Jeff Uguil leads the kitchen and prepares dishes from mostly local product. Nothing is imported and everything is as green as possible. Swordfish with coconut rice, Potato Crusted Cod, and Steamed Manilla Clams with chorizo are signatures. An extensive list of only Wines of the East End is offered with a dozen available by the glass. Beers include draught and bottled, all local, and you can get specialty cocktails with or without liquor.
